Every couple years, McButter's birthday will be near on right on top of Easter. This was one of those years. Her 1st Birthday party was Egg themed as it was to take place on the Thursday evening before Good Friday. Unfortunately, at the time she was supposed to be greeting her friends, she was in the Dr. office getting chest x-rays and being diagnosed with pneumonia. Miss F loved the x-rays (Dr. let her see them) and singing to McButter as she had blood drawn. We celebrated her 'real' birthday at home with cupcakes.
We were able to reschedule her party and the egg-theme just extended the Easter fun into the next week. We had breakfast for dinner and her 'cake' was cinnamon rolls.
McButter has 2 teeth popping through on the bottom and is not yet walking. She can scale tall buildings and can pull up on a chair, push it over to the ottoman, climb the chair and then get up on the ottoman. She got out of the seatbelt and then stood up in the grocery cart while my back was turned and thinks that the picnic table brought by the Easter Bunny is her own personal Mt. Everest.
Due to illness and work issues for Mr. B we ended up staying in town for Easter and the bunny was able to find us here. When we colored eggs, however, McButter was not feeling well and was definitely upset at being left out of the fun (or perhaps she's offended because her sister never has clothes on)
