Summer breeze at Somerville

We went camping this past weekend at Lake.Som.erville State Park. We'd hesitated to go because the weather forcast was pretty severe looking but we kept an eye on it and woke on Saturday to discover a beautiful day so we headed out about 1.5 hours from town and set up camp.We briefly stopped in Bren.ham for their ice cream festival...$6 for all the Blue.Bell ice cream you could eat. After ice cream festival, we headed back to camp and enjoyed the afternoon, grilled hot dogs, listened to the loons (OK, not loons but some waterfowl that was noisy on the lake all night) and even caught a showing of "The Apple Dum.pling Gang" under the stars (via our portable DVD player).
Friends came out for the day on Sunday and a good time was had by all. Photos are courtesy of them. Our point and shoot doesn't quite capture moments like her camera does. It was one of those weekends you want to freeze in time....speaking of time...check out the inchworm on Miss F's finger, inch by inch, hour by hour....
