Retroactive Blog, Part II, December 8th to 14th

Mr. B left on a 'team building' vacation, er, I mean business trip this week leaving Miss F and I to fend for ourselves. We decided to invite two of her friends over to make Gingerbread Houses and wouldn't you know, just like I was a movie director, as we listened to Christmas carols and made Gingerbread Houses, they cued the snow. Yes, SNOW, in Houston!

This week also saw Mom getting a babysitter for Miss F and heading out with her Book Club to see a one-act, one-man play based on David Sedaris' "Santaland Diaries" a short story within his book "Holidays on Ice". Good times. Good laughs.

The weekend was crazy--Mr. B returned home only to be swept up into holiday madness. On the Saturday menu? Breakfast with Santa, 2 birthday parties, Lights in the Heights and a Christmas Party. We dropped one of the birthday parties but we did all the other events listed. Yes, we know, we're crazy (or I am as I am Julie McCoy, Cruise Director of the B Family ship). Miss F enjoyed meeting Santa and asked for a baby that cries (oooh, goody, she'll get that in April for sure), a pink guitar and a My Little Pony. I believe Miss F only likes Santa because he gives out candy. She'll sit on his lap, ask for gifts but it all boils down to that candy cane at the end.
