Short of my blog post burying my pregnancy news in the 3rd paragraph and a mention of how roundish I am in a photo, I really haven't blogged much about this pregnancy. I didn't have a blog the first time around and should probably give Deuce his or her due since he/she won't have a baby book, or photos, or any artwork in a box due to the dreaded #2 slide on the parental side.
However, there isn't much to tell. I'm 17.5 weeks and will have the big ultrasound on November 17th. We will find out boy or girl this time and Miss F is still insisting it better be a girl or it won't come in her room. Eek.
I haven't had an overwhelming appetite and can only eat small portions and nothing really sounds appealing, that is unless it sounds really appealing. As with Miss F, cheese is prominent in my favorite things list as is root beer and juice mixed with sparkling water. The cheeseburger kids meal at McDonald's is a surefire hit every time. I don't have as serious of an aversion to chicken as last time (boy, I couldn't eat chicken even after Miss F was born for quite some time). I was more tired this go 'round but that's mostly due to chasing Miss F around. I'm in the 2nd trimester window of not feeling sick and not feeling baby movement yet so I can almost forget that I'm pregnant. Until I look in a mirror. Or down. Or someone rubs my belly without asking.
I know, I know, I should take a belly shot to commemerate being almost 1/2 way there. I shall in due time, in due time.

Will you please put up a Baby ticker on your blog, so I can keep up when Baby B #2 is due?? You know me, and my planning and in the know info...hehehe! Miss you! XO Cari
Congrats again!
I'm surprised you haven't felt baby kicking yet. They say (and it was VERY true with me) that you feel that faster the second time around - more like you just recognize the flutter and know what it is. :) I bet it will be any time now that you feel that.
Crazy about the chicken with Miss F - I was that way with Addison too. I could not even stand to THINK about chicken throughout most of my pregnancy and for a few months after. Wonder what that's all about? Seems to be a fairly common aversion amongst preggos.
Love the ticker! Thank you!!! hehehe
Oh, will you call me when you find out what you are having?!?! My guess is a girl...
Dear Jeny,
I will be sending little Miss F. a belated birthday present next week. I am so excited about the new baby so please let me know if you are getting a brother or sister for little F.
Love,
Aunt Linda B.
p.s. Am learning how to stream video for our local city council meetings. Quite a steep learning curve...
There are two ladies in my dept. at work who are expecting--less than 3 weeks apart. I'm stepping into take over for BOTH of them when they go on maternity leave. This week I heard from one of them about her first "unapproved" belly touch. And it was a manager. And he's already known to be creepy. And they were walking at the time (she was trying to flee) so the touching actually became rubbing. Two inches in either direction would have become lawsuit worthy. So, wanting to help, I've considered inventing some something that would swat unappreciated hands away from belly touches. I envision a sort of motorized egg-beater device. And maybe an airhorn. Would that pretty much do it?
