Lately Miss F's weird little statements and predictions have been off. It's only been since she's turned 3 but perhaps the gift is waning a bit as she gets older. She predicted McCain to win the election. She predicted a girl for Katie. Neither happened. So....tomorrow we find out if she's right about me and the baby. Mr. B is out of town (left last Monday and back on Tuesday) so until I get a hold of him, I won't be spilling any beans. Perhaps Miss F only predicts correctly when she can really read the vibes. Perhaps she's becoming less perceptive as she becomes old and cynical and jaded at the ripe old age of three. Who knows. We'll just wait and see.....
It's 30 degrees outside, B Family, where are you going to go? We're going to the zoo! A fantastic cold front blew through and our nightly temps were in the 30s with our highs into the 60s this weekend. I'm in a chilly piece of heaven right now. So Miss F and I bundled up and hit the zoo bright and early this morning. The parking lot had exactly 11 cars when we arrived so it was our own private zoo until lunchtime.
Yesterday we had dance class and hosted a playdate before lunch and did shoe and grocery shopping after nap. We heard Christmas songs in both the shoe and grocery store and you know what? I didn't mind because the weather outside was fitting. I get annoyed when it's 80 degrees and I'm hearing "Let it Snow" and yeah, I do still subscribe to the "Not Until the Day After Thanksgiving" rule myself, it was fun to be in a fleece jacket and to feel semi-wintery for once.
Tonight I head to the Madonna concert. Finally. After years and years of waiting I get to see Madonna live. Granted I'll be the last seat in the last row of Minute Maid Park so it'll be like watching "Madonna: The Flea Circus" but hey, she's there, I'm there and we might breathe a bit of the same air.

Can't wait to hear the news!! I'll be on pins and needles!
I was going to ask you about Miss F's abilities- and she even was in close proximity to the fetus when you were on your MN visit! Oh well, we're thrilled to finally meet Colin, and excited to hear whether Miss F will have a brother or sister. I hope the gift was just faltering momentarily- I love reading your stories about it.
