Nothing new under the sun

This week has been pretty quiet for the B Family. I'm definitely making an effort to keep us lowkey.

I voted this week. I haven't voted since 1992 when I had pink hair, Doc Martens and a shirt that read "Vote for Hillary's Husband". At the last minute, once I realized that I was registered and Mr. B was not, I decided to go and vote because he couldn't come behind me and vote the other way therefore putting us both back where we started from.

Friday found Miss F with a raging double ear infection. This allowed for us to really slow it down. We skipped ballet lessons on Saturday morning, Miss F did attend a friend's party after she'd had several rounds of antibiotics, Mr. B was a judge in our neighborhood's Chili Cookoff, and we had a playdate. That's it. Really. For us that's quite good, I think. I mean, we even watched 2 movies!!

Oh, wait, we did go to the Library and Target. I hope that doesn't count against our 'staying low key' rating.

On another note, I am having some struggles at work but I'll get through it. I am good enough, smart enough and people like me. I just need to remember that. Well, that and the fact that I only have 17 more weeks of actually going to work before maternity leave. When you break it down that way, it doesn't look so bad!!
