So, yet again, Jean-Pierre was not along to snap photos of a fun event! On Thursday night I attended the New Kids on the Block concert with two girlfriends. I did not, of course, bring the camera so here are some photos from Chas' Blackberry (But zoom lens not used, this is exactly what we saw and how close we were to the magic). Our original seats were upper deck, middle looking straight onto the stage. When we arrived (early, due to a mix up on start times), an official looking girl asked us if we'd like to move to the section just to the side of the stage. I guess the Toyota Center hadn't sold that section and "the band" wanted it full. So, off we go to check it out and guess what? Sure, we looked on the stage sideways but we were the first row on the side of the stage. Row 9 but first row and just over the tunnel where the boys (to men, now, I guess) would enter the stage. We had to do what the band wanted, right?
Yeah....meaningful eye contact

was made, they waved at us, sang to us, ahhhhhh.....for fans, they sang "Tonight", "Cover Girl", "Favorite Girl", "The Right Stuff", "Hangin' Tough", "Step by Step", "I'll Be Loving You Forever", "Please Don't Go Girl", and more I can't even think of right now. They danced all night (even doing the same footwork to "The Right Stuff" as back in the day), Danny did some breakdancing, Joe, Jordan and Donnie did some solo songs, they did the "new stuff" which sounds pretty good and all in all a good time was had by all and it was the best of the 3 New Kids on the Block concerts I've attended in my lifetime. Oh, and Natasha Bedingfield opened and I love her stuff. Good times.
Stay tuned for Renaissance Festival and Pumpkin Patch updates!
