If I had a Million Dollars....

I would hire a professional photographer to follow us around, or, at least to the important picture moments. Going to Disney? Oh, don't forget Jean-Pierre for the photos. Birthday party? There's Jean-Pierre clicking away. Instead, I tend to forget the camera or, in this case, forget to add new batteries to be safe. So here are a few shots of Miss F's 3rd Birthday Party before the camera died right around the blowing out the candles part. And, due to low battery, I think most of my shots are a bit blurry (yes, batteries do that, not user error. Never user error)

It was an Angelina Ballerina/Barbie Ballerina Hybrid. It was originally Angelina Ballerina when I made the invites but then I couldn't find much in the way of Angelina 'stuff' except via the UK and Ebay, so I added in ballet Barbie. There was lots of pink, nonetheless. We held it for 12 of her little girl friends from daycare with a few from our neighborhood sprinkled in. Definitely all girls and all hovering at age 3. They had a dance lesson from Miss F's dance school teacher, made fairy crowns and I lucked out into fairy skirts at the dollar store as their party favor. Add in Subway party platter, Cheeto puffs, applesauce cups and grocery store cupcakes (but with buttercreme frosting--yum!) and you have yourself the easiest party ever.

The funniest part--I had 12 of everything. Twelve cupcakes, twelve fairy skirts. Well, I invited twelve little girls but with the birthday girl, there was 13!!! Luckily, the dance teacher made Miss F her own fairy skirt and 2 guests left early so we were safe. Whew. Always count the birthday girl in the equation for a birthday party. Lesson learned.
