So we viewed 4 houses on Saturday. Two were big, fat 'No'. Then we found a house that we love but it's in the wrong location. I was mentally moving my stuff in before Mr. B brought me back down to earth with his scientific take on the drainage/flood issues. The next house was like that boyfriend you break up with and everyone wonders why because he's nice and smart and funny and all good things but it doesn't matter because your heart just isn't in it. The location is great, there were at least 5 houses with babies within spitting distance, it's the neighborhood we drive through and wish we could live in, and the house was OK but just not "it". Our house officially goes on the market this Saturday. Like George Michael said, we gotta have faith.
Speaking of...I heard Richard Marx's "Endless Summer Nights" and Bananarama's "Cruel Summer" at the grocery store. All I needed was a little Toad the Wet Sprocket ("All I Want") and Lifehouse's "Baby Don't Treat Me Bad" to throw me right back into summer memories--hanging out of friends' car sunroofs(just kidding mom and dad), lying out with baby oil on (my skin is cringing as I type that), hanging out in a field somewhere we shouldn't be (doing things we shouldn't be doing), cruising, beaches, boating on the St Croix...ah...... The weather this weekend was darn cold for Texas standards but it was like the beginning of spring in MN/WI when you open your windows to let the breeze in and it's still cool but you can just smell spring on the wind and you can't help but breathe deep and know that all is right with the world. I miss having winter not for the snow or the cold but for the magic moment when spring comes. We don't really have the same springs here in Texas.

You're not missing winter her either. Two large snowstorms was all we had of winter. Spring is coming earlier and earlier. :(
