Things I want to remember about this week: McButter edition

McButter and I got to spend some quality time this Labor Day weekend as we wanted to stick close to home as she has only been off her heart medications for a week now. I took her to the zoo and we enjoyed lots of time in the 'wee' (swing) in the yard as the temps were a bit lower (high 80s, low 90s) and the humidity was bearable (though I still felt like I'd just stepped out of the shower the entire day). We fed the ducks, saw lions and tigers and bears, and didn't bring the stroller so McButter could run like the wind (well, run as far as her leash would allow). It was done on McButter time and we went where McButter wanted to go--even if it was to go up and down a ramp or walking in circles for 20 minutes. I forgot how Miss F used to do the same things when we'd visit the zoo when it was just us two. I'm glad McButter had time to be the 'not poor 2nd child' this weekend.
I also want to remember that McButter likes to say 'sit' a lot. She hears it from us a lot as she tends to stand in the shopping cart, stand in the high chair, and stand anywhere she's not supposed to stand. So 'sit' she hears quite often so naturally 'sit' is one of her favorite words. The reason it's one of the things I like to remember is that she adds a little 'h' to her 'sit'. I'll let you guess where in the word she puts it but it makes me giggle every time she tells a doll to 'sit'.

She's got such a vivid personality! Keep writing about her- your stories about McB make me smile! Adorable girl. How nice that you had time just the two of you.
