Midwest Living, Pt 3

On Sunday, we stopped by Caribou Coffee (yes, AGAIN) and then headed out to St. Paul, MN to an avenue that is Grand. There we picked up Jay and Emily R to the MCB and headed off to Como Park. I've never been to Como Park! It was fantastic! We went to the zoo where we discovered Miss F is more obsessed with statues of animals than real animals (but we liked the animals!). We shared a cotton candy, went exploring in the rainforest (exhibit), marveled at water lillies, rode a historic carousel and had a picnic. Oh yeah, and we went in the butterfly tent. The weather threatened rain all day but for a few drops, we stayed cool and dry.

Yet again, we forgot the camera in the car until the picnic but here's a photo of us enjoying a day at Como Park (and I believe I'm stuffing my face with wild rice salad because, just like walleye, you gotta have your wild rice when you're in the northland). Oh, and Emily is a master quilter. One of the quilts we're sitting on is a 1940s pin-up girl quilt. It's too cute.

You should keep your distance from those people, they're a bad influence!
