Midwest Living, Pt 2

After an exciting day at MOA and with friends and family, we woke to a calm Saturday morning. We were able to cruise through Hudson (there's a photo of the marina and the historic downtown area--it's a beauty, isn't it?), grab a Caribou Coffee (you think Starbucks is liquid crack, try Caribou, OMG, the best--sweet, smooth, ahhhhhh), visit with Baby J's folks and then on to lunch at Culver's. We actually have a couple Culver's in Texas--one is about 45 minutes away in The Woodlands. But nothing beats a Culver's meal in the good, ol' Midwest. Butterburger. Frozen Custard. Mmm-mmmm.

We met the K-Family for lunch and then all of us headed over to Lake Elmo for an afternoon of swimming. I forgot the camera, and it appears Mrs. K's was hijacked on a fishing trip to Thundar Bay, Canada so I used Google images to bring up pictures that show what we saw through our eyes.

Home for a shower, dropping off the kiddo with our host family and then out on the town in Hudson with the K Family adults. Woot! Getting crazy on 2nd St., carousing, causing trouble....OK, not really....we ate a really nice dinner (both Rick and I had walleye because you hafta when you're up nort') and had a few drinks at a bar. We had grand plans for Dick's (0f the infamous class reunion night back in '07) but didn't quite make it. Probably for the best as the B Family had big plans for Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....
