At First I Was Afraid, I Was Petrified....

I made it through the big "We Love to Read" event at school. We had Larry Dierker (former Astro and former manager), Sean Townsend (2004 Olympic medalist and 2008 hopeful), his coach (the 2008 US Olympic Men's Gymnastic coach), local newscasters, weathermen, firemen, police, journalists, Coast Guard, stunt pilots, UH Football, and more....it was a great event, all went well and I can't believe I lost so many night's sleep over it.

Valentine's came and went...I didn't have to cook that night and that is the best gift ever since I'd had our huge event all day and then straight into swim lessons for Miss F. I just wanted to put on my PJs, have a beer and eat some food I didn't cook. I got my wish. Thanks, Mr. B.

We had a great weekend--zoo visit with friends, a dinner party where we all sang It's a Small World as there were 2 connections there--one with a friend of a friend who is, well, also a friend of another friend and a guy who got a job using my friend Chad's new business, The Corporate Playbook. 6 degrees, folks. 6 degrees.

Sunday was brunch at Brennan's. Oh my. Sooooo good. Soooo full! I had Bananas Foster 2x's this weekend. Is that the mark of a great weekend or what?

Miss F is still chatting away...she is also quite good with reinactments of events. She'll say "I did like this" and then hit a pose. She still likes to pretend she's a marching band to Harry Connick music and she likes to spin and go upside down.
