Evite Effect

I know there are 6 degrees of separation (and 6 degrees to Kevin Bacon) but I'm now noticing an Evite Effect.

The holidays bring out casual invites to parties and events which tends to bring on the Evites. In the past 2 weeks, I've had 2 Evites lead to a 6 degrees situation. 1st One: My co-worker sends out an Evite for an event. Her husband sends the Evite to his co-workers. The eagle eye of a good friend of ours brought to light that I work with their co-workers wife. Next Evite for a New Years Bash and I recognize a name from a baby shower I co-hosted this summer. No way the hostess of the current party knows the gal from the shower. Think again....it's the Evite Effect!
