I was searching photos for the 'lifestyle' section of the adoption paperwork (which should go in next Monday for review and then on to China). I came across this little gem. And before you go goggly-eyed over the amount of liqour in the photo, check out what we considered our 'art' for our little home--I believe we actually stood in line to buy that poster and then had a drawing to see which of us got it when we moved out. Ah, college. And I believe we didn't drink all of this ourselves, and I don't think it was 1 year, I think it amassed in 2 years but obviously, my memories of college are mighty hazy. Sorry Hope and Cynth, if you want me to remove this incriminating evidence, I can. Golly, we were young, tan (from lying out on the roof, I suppose) and cute!!!
In other news: we had a nice, rainy weekend. I will say that if it stays 85 degrees for the holiday season, I am going to be an Ebeneezer Scrooge. Who can be in the mood for the holidays when it's HOT? I made my monthly Dream Dinners (if you haven't checked to see if you have these near you, you MUST), did some errands and today I went with a friend to Brookwood. It's a home for MR/DD adults an hour outside Houston. They have a fabulous restaurant and then a gift shop/nursery where they sell their wares. Miz G to the R and I were highly impressed and enjoyed having girly time for a good cause.
Miss F got a park/playdate, time with her dollhouse, Little People, and aquadoodle. She is quite the performer these days and loves to sing and dance. She is in a big girl bed full-time and enjoys getting up from it and telling us she's "all done sleepin'" even if it's 8 p.m. and she's only been in bed for 30 minutes.
Mr. B took the holiday week off and has a honey-do list as long as his leg. Thanks Mr. B, we appreciate your effort!
Happy Thanksgiving to all if I don't blog beforehand. We're off to Mr. B's hometown and then Port A to meet up with my folks.
