Life Lesson #765: Never be cute in the drive thru

I've been meaning to post this PSA for some time now but haven't had time to sit down and blog it.

1. Starbuck's has their Pumpkin Spice Latte availabe
2. When ordering my 1st PSL of the season, I was in the drive thru at our neighborhood S-bucks. I ordered a PSL and then said "and to make my morning more pumpkin-tastic, I'd like a slice of pumpkin loaf, too". I ended up with a PSL with 6 extra shots of pumpkin flavor in it. It was HORRIBLE. The girl thought I'd said "More pumpkin". She didn't hear "Pumpkin-tastic". Never, ever, EVER be cute in the drive thru.

We had a great weekend. Mr. Tropical Storm Humberto may have wreaked a bit of havoc elsewhere but he is now my Latin Lover for he brought us wonderful, dry, cooler weather. I took Miss F on a bike ride to the park on Saturday. I haven't ridden the ol' bike in a few months (too hot) but I couldn't believe how much it was kicking my arse. Well, lo and behold, I had 2 flat tires on the bike and the Burley tires were low, too! Miss F and I were extras in a photoshoot for a local women running for state rep. at said park. Miss F and I then proceeded to go to the Farmers Market to get our fresh produce for the week. We had dinner at a friends' house while Mr. B went to College Station and the A&M game. Today we went to the church's picnic---Miss F had her first moonwalk/bouncy house experience. She liked it 'til a boy dive-bombed her.

I've had a bit of insomnia lately. It makes for some good T.V. watching, though. Last night I watched 3/4ths of "Revenge of the Nerds" and old 80s episodes of "Soul Train". Men wearing suit jackets, shorts and bollo ties is always good to see at 4 a.m.
