Florida was great. Woolf (who is, sadly, no longer a Woolf proper) had a beautiful wedding on the beach. After yet another 2 hour on the tarmac experience (better this time because the plane didn't make 'Mayday' siren sounds, was clean and they gave us beverages on the ground), I arrived on Sanibel Island around 7 p.m. We went for a fantastic dinner and dessert (the restaurant's cakes have recently been in Southern Living magazine), hung out, chatted, caught up and then went to bed at a reasonable hour (or semi-reasonable). I got 2 days worth of sunning and reading in (see updated list on the sidebar for books), got to visit with friends and make new ones and got to witness a dear friend having the happiest day of her life. My flight home was easy-breezy, got to finish watching "Summer Magic" on the DVD (old Hayley Mills/Disney flick with Burl Ives and a bunch of other people singing) and started on "The Sound of Music".
The radio station I listen to was asking people what "silly" things can make them cry. For me, it's the song "Somewhere Out There" and "Rainbow Connection", the story of "The Ugly Duckling", most songs in "The Sound of Music", the book (not the movie) "The Polar Express", the ending of "Pretty in Pink", the TV show "Cold Case" and the book or movie "Love Story". Anyone else want to 'fess up?!?

The movie "The Way we Were" - Redford and Streisand. Even the song makes me well up.
Summer reading: just finished John Sanford "Invisible Prey". Another Lucan Davenport mystery that takes place in the Twin Cities, this time on Summit Avenue in the biggest masion on the street.
Summer reading: am working on the sequel to Tami Hoag's Night Sins which is titled, Guilty as Sin. Both are set in Minnesota. I love her novels.Aunt Linda B.
