Fun, fun, fun, 'til daddy takes the T-bird away

We're having so much fun this summer! Today we went to Galveston to Moody Gardens. We swam in the lagoon, went down a short water slide or two and played at the splash pad. Miss F is such a water baby! Yesterday we had 2 playdates--one at the Children's Museum and one at a friend's house. Miss F was having a bit of a rough day and was having bi-polar tendencies (or, terrible twos, as some might call it)

I got a fabulous haircut and highlights at a new, local salon. Attended my mom's club meeting and took another golf lesson (Tiger, watch out, it's my 2nd lesson and I'm already hitting the desiered targets!)

We are beginning the 'paper chase' for adoption. It's quite daunting and requires a lot of notarizing and government checks and balances. The 63 page informational packet almost sent me over the edge and scrambling to cancel our application but I think we can do it if we break it down into small chunks and just take it one day at a time. If anyone has any pull with Fed Ex or UPS, we'll be doing lots of overnight mailing and tracking and could use a pulled string or discount!!

I am really excited for you and the adoption plans. With as long as it takes, I wonder if it will have the anticipation of pregnancy but with a much longer period of time.

Dear Jeny,
Love the zoo photos. I wish you luck with the adoption. My friend adopted a wonderful child from India years ago and she just graduated with an M.A. They had a baby shower when she arrived at age 5! I took the photos for the adoption agency in India.
Love,
Aunt Linda B.

Jeny - sounds like you have the right attitude about all the red tape. Just keep the final goal in mind - I'm so excited for you!
