Friday
Went to Central Market to get sandwiches for dinner. Hadn't been there since I was doubled over in 5 minute apart contractions but not moving until I got my turkey and havarti on ciabatta.
Saturday
Oak Forest Book Club had our semi-annual (quarterly?) Book Swap at a local coffee house. It was extremely successful and fun to sit and chat with neighbors and friends.
Swim party at the house of good fortune. They have a salt water pool which is the new craze, I guess, and I like it. Skin is soft and jewelry is clean. Plus Miss F got a few electrolytes back in her when she drank some of the water.
Miss F also gnawed on a rib bone like a cavewoman. It was hysterical and one of those moments where you wish you had your camera (or your cell phone camer, we had neither)
We watched a childhood favorite movie last night, thanks to Netflick's amazing selection. I'd been searching for this movie for years. It is Disney's first PG movie, "The Watcher in the Woods". Ooooh, it used to creep me out and was my first slumber party scary movie. Of course, while watching, Mr. B and I had to discuss where we'd seen the actors before. One was in "Ice Castles" (sing it now--looking through the eyes of loooooove) and one was Bette Davis so we knew her but the youngest sister bothered us. Where had we seen her before? Turns out (thanks IMDB.com) that she was a character on "Little House on the Prairie" on the later episodes where they had like 10,000 kids and she was on an episode of "CHiPs". Most recently, however, I've seen her on the E! True Hollywood Story: The Hilton Sisters. This girl from one of my favorite 80s movies is Paris and Nikki Hilton's AUNT! Ca-raaaa-zy!
Sunday
Mr. B went skeet shooting with his new gun to prepare for a skeet shooting thingy with the "Big Guns" (pun intended) at work.
Miss F and I were lazy bums. Yay.
