Weekend Update (and 1/2 week update, too)

Lately Mr. B has been commandeering the computer at night and it was going to take an act of Congress for me to get on so I'm a little late on the update.

This weekend Miss F had two firsts. One, she learned to actually jump in her jumperoo. Usually she just hangs out in the seat and plays with the toys. However, on Saturday, while watching VH1s 100 Rocking Rock Bands, she got to going when the intro to "Sweet Home Alabama" came on. Guess all it takes is a little Skynnard to get the Jumperoo in motion. Now she goes 5-6 bounces each time.

The second first was laughing. This came about after she had one of those poo-up-the-back situations. If you're a parent, you know what we're talking about--the kind where you usually have to cut the onesie off to remedy the situation. However, Miss F was in her 'Got Milk' onesie and I wanted to salvage it if I could. So....Mr B and myself did some fancy footwork and right in the middle of our adventure, Miss F let out a belly laugh. She has laughed at least once a day now so I feel confident in sharing this milestone (still no more rolling over....I think it was a fluke).

I met with some neighborhood friends to start a babysitting co-op on Saturday. Cooked penne with basil, bleu cheese, asparagus and walnuts for dinner and baked a triple layer Reese's peanut butter cake and watched 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' that night. Sunday Miss F and I had a ladies lunch with the fabulous L.

This week at work has been relatively painless. Daycare is still going well. Miss F seems happy and the ladies there pump us up by telling us what a great kid she is (we try to ignore that we hear them tell the other parents the same thing).

Here's a photo of Miss F doing the dreaded tummy time. She is getting better at it and lasting longer and this time Daisy decided to show her that being on your tummy can be fun. Especially when you can tuck your 4 legs under your body.
