Dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign

We had a blast out in Cali-for-ni-a. The weather was crisp and gave us an extra week of cool temps to enjoy before returning to hot and humid Hou.ston.
Miss F's wish was to see the Hollywood sign. We drove by it and then made sure to make a stop on Hollywood Blvd. We drove by Malcolm McDowell getting his star on the Walk of Fame!

I tried to keep to the "No Disney" policy but just couldn't do it. We stopped into the Disney Hollywood Cafe for lunch and ice cream sundaes from their old fashioned ice cream counter. And later, upon watching "The Muppets" movie again, realized it's shown in the movie several times because the Muppet Theatre is the El Capitan theatre where the cafe is located!

We visited the tide pools and saw starfish, sea anenomes and hermit crabs. It was a highlight for the girls.

We buried McButter in the sand

While on Hollywood Blvd., a bus load of tourists from somewhere in the Far East became enthralled with McButter. They took pictures of her and then wanted pictures with her. I snapped this one to have proof.

The girls had a great time and Miss F has already made plans to move out there and go to college. Watch out "Big Molly" (who isn't big at all and was our fabulous hostess), hope you're ready for an invasion in 2024 (I think?)
