First we attended the Nei.man Mar.cus Children's Par.ade in Downtown D with our friends the N's. Miss F loved the pre-show, 8 a.m., cotton candy and the giant balloons of familiar faces. McButter didn't enjoy it at all and the only thing positive about the experience for her was learning a new phrase "I'm scared!"

We were also able to go to the Gay.lord Resort in Grape.vine for their ICE display. We willingly spent time in 7 degrees even though we didn't have to. It was so cool to see all the ice sculptures of the holiday favorite, Charlie Brown Christmas. It was fun, also, to get together with my high school friend and her daughter at the event. She even stayed true to her WI roots and didn't wear the parka we were given. Miss F loved the ice slide and McButter spent the entire time with her head on my shoulder saying "I'm scared" or crying.
