What haven't we been up to?

Since it appears I only update this blog once a month these days, let me give you the June Report

1. We went camping at Mc.Kinney Falls State Park and tried out geocaching with our friends. We were sucessful in locating the cache and lo and behold it was the best. treasure. ever. A Barbie ring for Miss F and other trinkets for the kids. I'm hooked and have an app on my phone to obsessively check for caches near wherever we are located.

2. We road tripped to MN and WI and admired clouds on our way through Iowa and also witnessed what we suspect is a tornado form (many miles away).

3. We visited the birthplace of La.ura In.galls Wi.lder in Pe.pin, WI. What a great town and we ate at a restaurant where the manager (or perhaps the owner) was kind enough to entertain McButter for us while we ate. He carried her from table to table while visiting with other patrons. It was so cool to be on Lake Pepin and remember it from the book Little House in the Big Woods.

4. We visited the gorilla statue at Como Park in St. Paul that was part of Miss F's obsession from 2 summers ago. We also had a great time visiting with friends while visiting the new polar bear exhibit.

There isn't photographic evidence at this time to show our visit to the cabin in the MN Northwoods, the stretch limo fun with college friends, the craziness that is 6 college friends, their spouses and their combined 11 children (soon to be 12) and my brief business jaunt to MN (mere days before driving up there for fun). June was FUN! Hello, July!
