On Monday, McButter began her 15th month and I felt she was due a post of her own since I have 3 1/2 years worth of blog posts solely about Miss F.
McButter, or as has been mentioned before and we call her in our castle, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Destruction. She can unload a wipe box full of crayons, stuff 5 in her mouth, break 8 of them and use one to color all over whatever her sister is working on in less than 10 seconds.
Recently I learned that she could say 'ball' and not only can she say it, she is quite quick with one, also. She spent 30 minutes kicking a beach ball around the pool while we waited for Miss F to finish her swim lesson. Kicking! I think Miss F learned to kick a ball yesterday and here McButter is already being called the next Mia Hamm (by the teenaged male lifeguards at the pool who, by the way, were really cute about playing with her all the while ignoring their lifeguarding duties). At the Children's Museum she was in the 'grocery store' area and would pick up the fake onions and fake oranges, shout 'ball', and then launch them across the room.
Besides saying 'ball', she can say 'baby' (which is applied to anyone at least 2 minutes younger than her), 'Daisy', 'duck', 'moo', 'Hi', the dreaded 'No' (though she has been known to nod 'yes' on occasion---usually involving blueberries) and she has a bit of sign language under her belt now, also.
In the ways of the physical movement, she is different than Miss F. I tell Mr. B that he got his boy even though her name is McButter. In the ways of personality, the sisters are very similar. She's stubborn, determined, easily frustrated and LOUD. Even her inside voice is loud. She is starting to play with dress up though she constantly tries to put on the baby doll clothes instead of things that will fit her (see easily frustrated, determind, stubborn above)
She has 4 teeth, a full head of hair, wears size 18 months and makes sure that every single person in the store waves and says 'Hello' to her. If they don't, she keeps waving and shouting 'Hi' until they half-heartedly comply. Most, however, are delighted by her attention and I've seen her brighten up a lunch for someone who came in for fast food on their lunchbreak, probably having their spirit broken by someone at the office and they encounter her smile and friendly wave and leave with their own smile plastered on their face.

Dear Jeny,
Thank you for the update. I sent cards to you and your mom for your birthdays tomorrow. I sat on the deck of Pier 500 in Hudson, WI on July 2, 2010. Beautiful view. I had only been there in the winter to see Grandma Mary.
Stephanie made a beautiful bride!Happy Birthdays!
Love,
Aunt Linda B.
