While we don't have the Minnesota.State.Fair or even the Texas.State.Fair, we do have the Houston Live.stock Show and Ro.deo which is pretty close. Food on sticks, people watching, Midway. We went as a family two Saturdays ago and McButter enjoyed her first rodeo (actually just the livestock show part of it). I'll blog about the Jo.Bros concert with Miss F in another blog.

It WAS her first rodeo.....
Yet again the line sung by Prince in "Raspberry Beret" about being busy doing something close to nothing seems to be the reason for my poor blogging. While we're not doing 'nothing', sometimes the daily minutae of our lives doesn't seem blog worthy. One of these days I'm going to try Danielle's experiment of blogging every day for a week. This is, of course, my 'Year in the Life' record.

This is a great photo. What it doesn't show is her letting go and having the string whap her in the stomach and tears insued until she saw that she'd hit the target (pretty well, too) and we compared her to Robin Hood. Then all was well with the world again and we could continue with our day.
She really, really, really wants a bunny and Mr B really, really, really won't let us get one. Considering he changes the litter box and remembers to feed the pets we already have, he probably has a valid point.
Hide Miss F! Here comes a bull (and one did get loose on the grounds of the show the next day)
If I wasn't so lazy I'd compare this photo to the other Live.stock Show photos of pony rides from days of yore (well, the last two years)
Here she is! McButter does make it into photos sometimes. It's hard to be photogenic when all Mommy and Daddy do is strap you in the stroller in an effort to keep up with big sister.
