I think everyone should take maternity leave before the baby arrives. It's been nice to be on leave with a little time to get the small stuff done (oh, who am I kidding...I've been to a library conference, out to lunch, etc. nothing is getting done around this house...no nesting in sight).
I went to the Dr. on Wednesday and I'm at 1.5 cm and she said that if the baby doesn't come by my appt. next week that she'd induce. The planner in me likes that there is an end in sight but there's a part of me that would like it all to work out naturally (but before next week because really, I'm ready to have this baby)
Miss F is definitely sensing that something is up. I think for the majority of my pregnancy she thought the 'baby' was coming out 1 year old as most of her friends' have baby brothers/sisters that are about that age. When we finally had time to be around a much, much younger and newer baby brother of a friend and I explained that he was more like what was coming, well, she didn't like that one bit. I believe she had visions of brushing her sisters hair and teaching her to swim IMMEDIATELY after the birth. The whole cry, drool, poop that she witnessed with the very young baby was not in her plan. Hopefully, having new little sister arrive with a trampoline (luckily I won't be giving birth to THAT but instead bought it at Wal-Mart) will help ease her pain.

Yes, it is nice to have a sunset date. My sister is being induced today, not soon enough for her though. I'm sending you all the labor vibes I have!
