Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers, blossoming even as we gaze

Sunrise, sunset. Sunrise, sunset. Swiftly flow the years.....

I knew there would be a point where I realized my little girl had grown up. It didn't hit me during potty training or when she began to speak in highly evolved sentences. Nor when she first went to daycare or when she could get dressed by herself (creatively, I might add). I knew it would happen but I didn't think I would get teary-eyed over my no-longer-a-baby-girl while surrounded by carnies at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo....but I did. She doesn't need us to ride the rides in the kiddie carnival. She can go on by herself...sniffle.....she even rode a pony by herself.

We had a great time, went early and had the spring ahead on our side and were able to get in and get out before the Jonas Brothers madness truly began (they were the concert for the rodeo this afternoon). Funnel cakes, lemonade, sausage on a stick and strawberry milk were happily consumed. Miss F enjoyed petting rabbits, seeing a mere hours old calf named Two Socks, "driving" a tractor and learning about being a farmer (she even earned money by selling her goods at the farmers market and purchased raisins as a treat!). This has become my MN State Fair consolation prize and I do enjoy it. I'm just glad I was craving strawberry milk and not rootbeer milk or other flavors from the booth in MN.

Miss F also survived the first week at her new daycare and we are quite pleased with how it went. They did a science experiment about erosion and she could explain it to us. Her geologist daddy was so proud!

I plan to do a 34ish week baby belly shot here soon so look for a post soon!
