Seriously. Go to your local public library and give the librarian a big hug. Free books. Free internet. Copies cost a little but whatevs....the public library is just a little slice of heaven even when you have power at your house. But when you don't....it brings a tear to your eye. Air conditioning. Internet. More books to read by flashlight.
Still no power. Still not back at work. Miss F's daycare did open so she's back today and was so happy to be in her routine. I think I may be back to work on Wednesday and our power is supposed to be on by Thursday. Over 800,000 people in Houston still have no power. But...1.something million got it back.
We are running the generator at night this week because it's Season Premiere week. A/C, I'm doing OK without it. Laundry--eh, clean clothes are over rated. But missing TV when my DVR is out of commission--that is a big NO NO! So we are cranking up the generator, burnin' gas and not feeling guilty for one single minute.

So great to see y'all this weekend! Looking forward to our next visit! Keep me posted on your electricity situation!
XO! Cari
If you saw some of the librarians around here you'd understand if I just gave them a high five.
Glad you're doing well despite the lack of utilities. If there was a way to send you electricity through the mail I'd do it.
Hang in there!
