This weekend we went to Brazos Bend State Park about an hour from home. This allowed us the opportunity to pack up and go home if everything went wrong. But it didn't. Our friends the L Family joined us for a little 'faux' camping and we enjoyed burgers cooked on the grill (which connects to the trailer outside and is fun to grill while listening to our outdoor audio speakers). Miss F touched a baby alligator and we looked into a giant telescope (the kind in a big dome and where the floor moves you up to the eyepiece) and saw Jupiter and 4 moons.
Here's our new 'home away from home'

Here's Miss F enjoying time at the table. The photo is taken from her bed (a full size) . There's a table, a kitchen area, a shower/toilet and then a king sized bed.

Brazos Bend State Park is known as the 'alligator' park. The camera gave me some trouble (thank heavens for Google--google your issue and learn how to fix it) so I didn't get any photos of gators but this picture was taken a few years ago when Stokes and her husband visited. See Stokes. See the gator.

WOW!! I'm so impressed! Looks like y'all had a great time!
As for the chicken fried steak...It is called Babe's. It originated in Roanoke but now they have franchised out. They built one in Carrolton about 4 miles from our house. HOLY COW ITS YUM!!!
Woo hoo!!! Way to go with the pop up purchase! I'm impressed- a shower? I guess you guys get all hot and sweaty down in TX. Can't wait to see you and the family!
