SATC

After a week that involved having more of a mole removed (and leaving my upper right arm with a giant row of stitches) and a root canal, not to mention end-0f-the-year stress, it was time to let loose!

I gathered together 9 girlfriends (a perfect 10 with me along) and we went downtown to see "Sex and the City: The Movie" last night. We got dressed up, wore the strappy heels and off we went. After the movie (which, btw, is fantastic if you're a fan of the show--it's like having a whole season in one night) we went to Azuma for some Japanese food and martinis, natch. Then, while some gals went home, a smaller group headed off to ROC Bar complete with goth girls swinging from the ceiling, hard rock music and bartenders blowing fire. We ROC'd out (ha!) to Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails and oh, let's just say a particular Def Leppard song. In the spirit of the NYC based movie, we caught a cab home at 2 a.m. (well, and none of us were in any shape to drive, too)

I wish I could gather all my girlfriends spread far too wide across the country to go see this movie. I kept thinking about how much I missed my high school crew, my college crowd, my Dallas gals and more! Gather up a group and go! The next big night out will be for the "Mamma Mia" movie. We plan to eat Greek food and dress in blue and white or something 'greek' (can you say toga! toga! toga!)

Dear Jeny et al,
I am flying out Thursday, June 12 for Minneapolis on Southwest at 6:30 a.m. so we may be at the SF Airport at the same time. How are you all doing? I am finally really retired and loving it. Isn't baby Darcy darling?
Love,
Aunt Linda B.
p.s. Happy end of the school year!
