I know it's been awhile....I do have photos and need to upload them. In a nutshell we have
1. Did a week long Book Fair at my school which had me working 12 hour days
2. Went to the Rodeo Parade where Miss F saw her first, real-life, marching band (her favorite was the drums)
3. Went to Sunday School (more on the importance of that later in the blog)
4. Brought a meal to a new mommy
5. Brought refreshments to my mom's meeting (on the same night as the above meal)
6. Joined Jazzercise and have attended 3 classes a week as well as walking 3 miles 2-3 times a week with a friend
7. Realized that my life has changed so much--today I had a choice of a Happy Hour on the tab of my principal or to go to Target and buy pull-ups and a waterproof mattress pad. Guess what I did? Went to Target and enjoyed shopping child-free and even ran into my two favorite co-workers who also skipped Happy Hour for Target.
Yesterday, on the way to swimming Miss F noticed a man jaywalking and asked what he was doing. I told her he was crossing the street in a dangerous way. She then asked if the cars would knock him down and if he'd be sad and I replied yes. She then asked if he would be sad like the cave story from church school. Last week at her first ever Sunday School visit Miss F learned about Lazarus and how Mary and Martha were sad when he was dead in the cave.
Another Flinn-ism yesterday was while shopping at Whole Foods...I asked her to please be a good girl and she said "No, I don't want to be a good girl, I want to be naughty". There were several smirks from fellow shoppers who overhead that statement! Lucky for me, with the promise of a juice box, she was, indeed, a good girl.
Photos this weekend, I promise!

Would you check out the awesome memory on your child? And the way she was able to relate the story of the cave to the jaywalking guy? What a smart girl you have! Way to go, Bs!
Great to have you back- and with photos promised!
