Holiday Highlights

Merry Day After Christmas! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Here are our highlights:

Night Before the Night Before Christmas: Traveled to Galveston for po'boys and a walk through Moody Gardens' "Festival of Lights"

Christmas Eve: Zoo visit in the morning; dinner consisting of shrimp, poppy-seed salad, and Flinn soup; caroling with neighbors for a little old fashioned Christmas, and watching "Christmas Vacation" before bed.

Christmas Day: Miss F recieved a 10' bike from Santa in the classic Radio Flyer style. She enjoyed her digital camera, playdough, doll and Thomas the Train Playhouse. Mr. B and I received several gifts including a real, grown-up mixer for me, a telescope for Mr. B and gift certificates to everywhere under the sun! We ate ham AND turkey and then all the trimmings and fixin's you can imagine. We roasted marshmallows around our fire pit and enjoyed the cool night air before retiring to watch "Hope Floats" (for the millionth time, but I love that movie)

Today: Mr. B and Papa did home improvement, Miss F played and then Mimi and Papa hit the road and Mr. B and I are currently purging the house of fudge and stale Christmas cookies while organizing and deciding which gift bags are reusable.

Glad yours was better than mine! I spent the whole day in bed with strep throat and sinus infection!!! Fabulous! The ham will have to wait until I get better!!!

Dear B. Family,
We did Cheese Relish this year but not the traditional soup. You had a wonderful holiday! What does little Miss F. think about her new cousin arriving in April? I called Richard to congratulate him on becoming a grandpa.
Love,
Aunt Linda B.( Great-aunt)
