It's just another manic Monday

I begin trainings, meetings, etc. this week and have to reset the ol' clock. 5:30 a.m. wake-up, 30 minute workout video, shower, dress, and get Miss F up and on the road. Where did my summer go?

We had a really nice weekend. On Saturday Miss F and I joined the R-Fam for a trip to the zoo. It was hot and humid but a good time was had by all. Miss F and I made the pilgrimage to Chik-Fil-A on the way home (there isn't one near our house so we have to co-ordinate plans with a nearby Chik-Fil-A). On Saturday night we hosted to the L's and little Mr. W. I made orange-glazed chicken, steamed broccoli and Stove Top stuffing (it's like Christmas in July...or Thanksgiving). Of course, we ended with my new signature dessert--White Trash Strawberry Shortcake.

Yesterday we hung out at the house, ran through the sprinkler, played in the yard and fought off giant mosquitos trying to carry us away! During nap, I snuck off with the girl from Ipanema (is that is Argentina or Brazil?!?) and we did lunch and saw "Becoming Jane", the 'based on true events' story of Jane Austen. So romantic. So tragic. Makes me want to re-read "Sense and Sensibility" and "Emma". Or, at least, rent the movies.

And...I guess I better get to goin' and get the wee one up and on our way!
