Before I get around to the title of this blog, let me tell you about happier times.....on Thursday evening, Mr. B and I attended my school's production of Urinetown: The Musical. Yes, Urinetown and yes, The Musical. It was outstanding. Mr. B isn't a huge fan of the musical but he loved this one? Why? It's a satire of musicals! It's hysterical! Plus, the students at my school are quite a talented bunch and they put on a professional-level production. We had a great time. Before the show we met some of my co-workers at Chili's for a pre-show dinner. I bet some of you know where this is going...Chili's=Food poisoning.
Ok, so maybe it wasn't food poisoning but I didn't have aches and pains and it came on fast and furious. I was sick all ways to Sunday. I tried to make it to work (it was Friday and it was PJ day for crying out loud--what better day to be sick at work but PJ day) but after about 20 minutes and not being able to hold down Sprite, I headed home. I didn't quite make it. I threw up on myself and the car (thank God for leather seats--easy wipedowns!). I didn't keep anything in my system until around 6 PM on Friday night. The whole time I was lying in bed sick, I could hear the cat yakking about the house. She was sick, too. The night before, Sheba had an accident in the house (she never does) and it appeared she was sick, too. We were sick as a dog and a cat in the B Household this weekend.
If I didn't feel bad enough, I was a co-hostess for Breakfast with Santa for my neighborhood. I was supposed to set up on Friday evening and help host on Saturday. Nope. Mr. B did take Miss F to meet Santa, though, with another 'single' dad friend of ours (his wife was being bad-a$$ and doing an Adventure Race). Boo on being sick!

We did make it to Lights in the Heights, an annual tradition. Very fun. We also made it to our church's sing-a-long an Christmas Pageant (I'm 32 and have never seen a Christmas Pageant, I love the book The Best Christmas Pageant Ever but I've never seen one, live, and with crying children and shepherds wearing oxford shirts). Happy B-day, too, to Miss B. We enjoyed her partay today.
So I shake my fist at you Chili's and your yucky food. You didn't completely ruin my weekend. HA!
