My school takes every grade on various trips. They do an outdoor trip and a 'cultural' trip. The cultural trips include places like Israel, San Fran/L.A., the 'Deep South', NYC, and D.C. I am going to be a chaperone on one of these adventures--thankfully I'm not going on one of the 'outdoor trips'. They camp on these trips. Camping in a tent is bad enough, I don't need to be in charge of seventy-one 9th graders while doing it. UGH.
I digress....so I'm going to be a chaperone on a cultural trip. When the posted the list of chaperones I was so excited...where would I be going?!

Dallas. Nothing against Dallas, I lived there and loved it. My friends are there. However....Dallas-Israel, Dallas-NYC, Dallas-Atlanta, Memphis, Montgomery...hmmmm....it just seems like I am missing out.
So...in March, I'll be in Dallas with seventy-one 7th graders. Woot!

You're not even crossing state lines- too bad for you... maybe you could tweak the itinerary to make a detour to a brewery tour in Chippewa Falls?

I'm SOOOO happy you are coming to Dallas! Can you skip out on the kiddos after curfew and head over to the Bone with me? Ok, wait that is ghetto now... Maybe we could go to Cowboys Red River for a little 2 steppin... Ohhhhh, those were the days!!! I am sure we can find culture! Keep me posted.
Hhmmm. Well, I'm glad this means maybe we can see you, but it does seem like it would have been fun to go someplace outside the U.S.
