Supa-Stah, Part III
Ah-cha-cha! Yes, sirree....They're gonna put me in the movies, they're gonna make a big star out of me....all I gotta do is, act naturally.
So I finished filming my Rachael Ray segments. I am in fear of what the editing will make me look like (and yes, I'm going to blame editing like everyone else does). I made a mess in the kitchen, used the wrong herbs and then proceeded to drink too much wine. I hope when this all comes out that I still have a job, still have friends and don't give everyone too much fodder for making fun of me for the next few years to come. We'll see....eek!
The big surprise is that they're going to fly us (the girls) out to New York to the studio. Woot-woot!
I posted this Supa-stah photo of Mary Catherine Gallagher because I'm going to look just like her when I'm on the show? Why you ask? Well....Thursday a.m. as I was getting ready, I rubbed my eye. All of a sudden I realize my contact isn't in and I'm in super severe pain. I've lost my contact up in my eyelid. Just what I need mere hours from my big gig. I proceed to rub, poke, tug and have Mr. B shine a flashlight while I turn my eyelid inside out looking for the blasted contact. No contact. Severe pain. At this point I'm sure that my contact is going to go to my brain and give me a stroke. So...I take out the other contact, throw on my glasses, rush to work (10 minutes late) and call the eye doctor when they open. Lucky for me, Mr. Eye Doctor's son goes to my school so....he immediately fits me in. NO CONTACT (or he can't find it in my eyeball). But I have such severe bumps in my eyes from some infection/allergy that I can't wear my contacts for 14 days (hence the severe pain). Sigh. So I have my glasses on. Blech.
Filming was good. Not real (as they have you repeat things, different angles, etc.) but yet, I totally get when reality stars say they forget the camera is there. While I knew it was there, you do, at some point, just get into the moment and forget. Weird. It was a long night on Friday. Lots of food. Lots of wine. Lots of driving (we hit every corner of the Houston metroplex area).
My mom is here to help out while Mr. B goes to LaJolla. Hiking, oceanfront hotel...boo-hoo, Mr. B. We took advantage of in-home babysitting for the RR filming and today when we snuck out to see "Pirates of the Carribbean". LOVE J.Depp and O.Bloom. Love that "wanna scrub you in the tub you dirty boy" look they both have going on. Weekend was chill. On to the week ahead....

I am SOOO excited for you! Can't wait to see your debut!
Ug, I had a contact disappear in my eye before--it's not fun! I got mine out by looking down and peeling it off of the top of my eyeball (if that makes any sense).
Otherwise a trip to the ER works. The worse part of that though (besides the bill) is the embarassment!
I too am very excited to see you on TV, let us know when it's going to air!
Oooh, I can't wait to start the name-dropping. "Yeah, my friend, Jeny... you know, the one from the Rachel Ray show? Yes, THAT Jeny. Uh-huh, we go WAY back."
Doug is out getting us hooked up with the DVR right now, girly, and it's all because of you!
P.S. Glasses are so HOT right now, no worries on the sexy specs.
