Miss F, or should I say Miss Rah Rah?
Sometimes, Miss F gets fussy. Yes, it's true. Once we've checked her diaper, fed her, napped her and run through the list of reasons for fussiness, every now and then, she's just fussy. The only thing that will make her happy at this time is cheers. As in cheerleading, not just 'Yay Miss F'. She likes when you take her arms and make her do cheerleading motions and chant "What time is it? It's time! What time is it? It's time! It's time to go, it's time to fight, it's time to win this game tonight" Instantly, she's smiling and laughing. She is also a fan of "B-E-A-G-G-R-E-S-S-I-V-E, Be aggressive, got to be aggressive" and "First and 10, do it again, we like it, we like it" Having been a former cheerleading 'coach' (I use 'coach' lightly as they had a professional coach, I was just the district appointed babysitter, basically), I'm not sure I'm ready for my own personal rah-rah girl. However, if I even think she's going to want to be a cheerleader, we're already behind. I mean, this is Texas. Most cheerleaders begin pre-natally.
I realized that 1 year ago, Saturday, I found out I was pregnant with Miss F. Weird. I'm so glad I like chocolate and coffee again. It was a rough first trimester without my Starbucks and Milky Way bars to get me through the day. Luckily, by the 2nd trimester, I was back to my Milky Way a day (wasn't that a commercial jingle in the 80s--Milky Way a day helps you work, rest and play--commercials really do persuade us, I guess). I even discovered that decaf lattes taste almost as good as the full-octane ones.
We had a great weekend. We took Miss F to the Museum of Fine Arts on Saturday. No, we're not trying to create a super baby--I had cabin fever and the zoo was out (wet and cold) so we ran through the museums available in Houston (there are tons, I may not love Houston, but it has soooo many great museums, so that's a plus to living here) and decided the Fine Arts would be 1) the least crowded and 2) Miss F enjoys looking at pictures so she'd probably like big, bold colored paintings. Turns out, she slept in her Bjorn for 3/4ths of our visit. We used our Entertainment Book coupon for the admission (saved $7) and on lunch (Jersey Mike's subs, buy one-get one free, saved $4). I love saving money. Today Mr. B and I bought much needed new athletic shoes. Mine are for inspiration for working out. His are the kind that are sporty and look good with jeans, not the work out kind.
It's almost Spring Break for me! Whoo-hoo! And, I believer there are less than 80 days left 'til summer.

A was a fan of cheering as well. She really liked the cookie jar cheer- cookie monster says that the Lakers are the great big cookies at the top of the jar...
